6000mm ASTM B348 Titanium Alloy Bar GR7 For Metallurgy

Out of all titanium alloys, the most widely used is grade 5. And therefore it has been rightfully named as the workforce amongst the other alloys. ASTM B348 Grade 5 Titanium Round Bar, which is referred to as an alpha-beta alloy exhibits properties similar to pure titanium including high strength and low density. As an alpha-beta alloy, Grade 5 Titanium Bar constitutes about 4% - 6% β-phase stabilizers. In his case, the beta stabilizer used is 4% vanadium. The addition of Vanadium in the alloy has a stabilizing effect on the ductile β-phase of the Grade 5 Titanium Round Bar. And since there is stability in the alloy, bar manufacturers are able to process the alloy by hot working the alloy. Just as vanadium acts as a phase stabilizer, the addition of 6% aluminum in the ASTM B348 Grade 5 Hex Bar is an α-phase stabilizer.
